What a system costs, written down before you meet us.

Four standard builds with starting prices, what sits inside each one, and what is not in the price. Nothing here is a quote until a surveyor has been on your roof.

Starting price range

£5,300 to £12,500

Starting prices for the four domestic builds we fit most often. 0% VAT applied while the relief runs.

They assume a standard pitched roof, straightforward scaffold access, a suitable existing consumer unit and no roof repairs needed first. Where your property differs, the survey says so and the price changes before you commit, not after.

What is not in the price.

Publishing a price is only useful if the exclusions are published with it. These are the five things that most often add cost, and the survey is where each one is either ruled out or priced.

Not included

  • Roof repairs found at survey. Slipped or broken tiles, failed felt, or battens that will not take the fixings. We will not mount panels on a roof that needs work first.
  • Non-standard scaffolding. Restricted access, a conservatory or extension to bridge, work over a public pavement, or a road licence.
  • Consumer unit upgrades. Where the existing board cannot safely take the new circuits or lacks the protection the installation requires.
  • Tree work. Reducing or removing anything shading the array, including any consents needed for protected trees.
  • Structural work. Strengthening rafters or purlins, and any structural engineer's report your property turns out to need.

Included as standard

  • All-black panels, mounting system and cabling
  • Hybrid inverter, and the battery listed against your build
  • Scaffolding and safe access on a standard domestic property
  • Bird protection to the panel edges
  • Electrical work, testing and commissioning
  • MCS paperwork and your handover pack
  • DNO grid notification submitted by us, not left with you
  • Help registering for export payments after handover

Accreditation marks and review scores are added here once verified.

How the price gets fixed.

The figure you see online is indicative. It comes from six answers, so it can only ever be a starting point. Here is the sequence that turns it into a number you can hold us to.

  1. Free survey, about an hour. A surveyor measures the roof, checks the loft, the rafters, the consumer unit and the scaffold access.
  2. Anything from the exclusions list is identified and priced. If your roof needs work first, you are told then, with a figure, not on install day.
  3. You get a fixed written price. Itemised, with the assumptions stated, and with the MCS method performance calculation attached.
  4. You decide. Nothing is agreed until you sign, and the survey costs you nothing if you walk away.

14 days

You have a statutory right to cancel within 14 days of entering the contract, with no reason required and no charge. If you ask us to begin work inside that period you may be charged for what has already been done, so we set the install date after the cancellation period unless you tell us otherwise in writing.

0% VAT

Applied to qualifying domestic installations until 31 March 2027. From 1 April 2027 the rate reverts to 5%, which on a £9,300 system is about £465.

Six questions, then a number.
